Hamster's bad habits......
5 Answers
My hamster wont get out of bed (his blanket) until 10am .... and he goes to bed quite late too, although i tuck him in at 10pm, he's usually lying awake until 3am!!(I know as i've heard him squeaking and walking about and sometimes, even juggling at night ... (i've started to put his maltesers away at night, since then)
These are all bad habits and i want to make him follow a routine of going to bed on time and waking up early to jog on his wheel, so he becomes a fit, healthy and happy hamster.
How do i help him rid his bad habits (as he's only a hamster and doesnt know what's good or bad for him) ?

Us cats are pretty nocturnal too. We pounce on any cold rodents and some humans too during our nightly wanderings.
I have lots of bad habits and would love to meet your hamster.

hello frankie,
my hamster's called dopey, and has golden brown fur. He's quite playful and can juggle and do a little hamster dance too.
As for his bad habits, some warm milk might help him sleep on time at night, while an alarm clock to wake him up at 8am sharp would do the trick, until he gets used to it and wakes up on his own..... his feather blanket keeps him quite warm at night so i think he should be fine for the winter.
