Why do dogs smell bad when they get older?

after i wash my female dog she always rubs herself in some dead animal or worm. I don't think she likes to smell clean..

I always wash her with the vets medicated shampoo

My younger dogs also like to rub themselves in smelly things. Maybe she does not like the smell of the shampoo and wants to get rid of it, or over washing makes her coat dry and itchy, so she needs to relieve the itch by rubbing in things.

Try brushing her regularly and less washing.
