my puppy stinks of fish

just in the last day my 5 month old springer spaniel has a terrible smell of fish coming from i think her backside any suggestions

She may have a blocked anal gland, and it may be infected.

It's easily treatable, but it shouldn;t be left, so whisk her down to the vet who will solve the problem while you wait.

may need her anal glands empting, take her to the vet.

if this is a problem you may need to look at changing her diet or giving her extra fibre.

as above, take her to the vets, it only takes a couple of minutes, i take my dog a couple of times a year she's a yorkie & it costs me about �12 , a stinky yukky liquid comes out & you may need to shower her when you get home.

Oh Donbella - isnt it vile!! We had this with our doga couple of times lately and it has to be the worst ever smell on earth!! Pickles managed to empty hers herself (!) but I agree you should take her to the vet. What a wonderful job they have!!

thanks all shes going to the vet on wednesday the smell has not been there all the time but when it comes it reeks to the heavens even Boo (the dog) wondered where it was coming from. lol
