Peculiar things cats bring in to the house....?

My 7-month old Ronaldo keeps bringing in lumps of moss...weird cat! Fortunately he hasn't brought us any livestock yet! What peculiar items have your little darlings brought in?

only this morning my little hope-along cat (she only has three legs) jumped onto my lap and drop and live mouse on me... i didn't say thanks as it disappeared down the cushions then hid in my shoe (YES the one i was wearing at the time!!)

she was so proud of herself i couldn't tell her off - just hopped outside and set the little guy free

ive ended up with mice in my shoes and running up my trouser leg, on the inside!!!

my cat went through a period of bringing frogs home and killing them. He would leave us a dead frog morning and we couldnt work out where they were from, we lived in middle of housing estate. On the occasions where they were live we drove 2 miles and set them free in a pond.

Then one day we saw a neighbour whose son had leukemia, he told us how upset his sone was as all of his frogs had run away from the pond he'd recently made.

Bad pussy cat!!!! we didnt have the guts to say we knew what had happened.

After many birds, rabbits, voles, shrews, frogs, our mog's latest fad seems to be worms - yuk!! Fortunately, she doesn't kill them, just drops threm through the window and rushes out again. Unfortunately though, this does mean we are continually evicting small creatures.

Apparently moles taste horrible IAP which is why cats avoid them.

In addition to frogs, toads, mice, shrews, voles, rats and birds, we once came home late and found a bat on the floor - still alive. We've also had butterflies and this summer an enormous elephant hawk moth caterpillar. Best of all though are the big thick elastic bands that one of our cats ferociously hunts down and proudly brings back with lots of mewling!

Whilst house and cat sitting for my daughter her cat tried to bring in a seagull.He must have been tugging at it for quite a while as it was firmly lodged in the cat flap,one wing outside the other inside. As he is a white and grey cat I had to bath him as he had turned pink down his front. Needless to say I haven't cat sat since.

I had a cat that used to delight in bringing me live creatures of all types,never a seagull though moonshadow.I have sore ribs now from laughing at the image of that.

Had a good laugh at these - mine bring in all sorts of wildlife, alive and dead and I do have birds flying round the house at time. The one that I couldn't get over was the pigeon I found dead in the kitchen. To this day I don't know how whichever cat it was got it through the cat flap.
I know someone whose cat pinches other people's washing - has been known to bring in socks and knickers!

Oh Yodel, seeing your post has brought back memories of our old cat Soots. He was PTS a few years back at the ripe old age of 19.
Nearing the end of his life, we had a small estate being built opposite our old house across a main road. Many a night whilst we were asleep he would bring home empty ciggy packets that the builders has thrown down and huge lumps/chunks of concrete still attached to the cement bags, how on earth he managed to get them through the catflap always baffled us!!!

Good job it's only moss yours brings in at the moment Yodel, our 2 bring live birds, mice and sometimes rabbits in, they can be a right b*gger to catch!!!! :o)

I hadnt had my cat long .....this as the first thing he bought home....there was a huge commotion at the cat flap one afternoon, so I went to investigate....my cat was coming in through the flap backwards, pulling his catch in his mouth. I was horrified....until i saw it was a pair of defrosting pork chops still in their wrapper on those polystrene trays. One of my neighbours must have been very puzzled when they came to cook thier tea and found the chops had gone!!

I had a lovely cat years ago who used to bring home rubber gloves! the sort you wear for washing up. God knows where he was getting them from . I often wonder what the people they belonged to thought. especially if they all came from the same place, and one glove kept going missing. He also brought in burst balloons. He lost interest in them once he had brought them in.

I've just had a right laugh at these guys. Pork chops!!? Ha ha! My littlest cat connie, is really small and dainty but sooo feisty. Last year I went outside to find her dragging a live magpie up the drive still flapping and squawking! It was actually the same size as her! Arent they little b##gers! I often wonder what they've been up to when they come in and get on the bed and stuff but I suppose its better that we dont know...!

thats how they do it!! they come in backwards!!! mine have two magnetic cat flaps so its really hard to get in big things, but they have brought me the usual things, mice, frogs, birds (live and dead) but never pork chops, thats hysterical, did u eat them for your tea? x

mine got me some worms last week, so i took them outside and they went back and got me more, played with them right by my feet, all wiggly
