Well the thanks are really for skyep who originally posted it but I though you guys would appreciate it. I haven't had a cat for years but I can just imagine that very scenario.

I used to wake up in the middle of the night with a choking feeling around my neck only to discover that Bouncer (r.i.p) had wrapped himself around it like a living and breathing stoal (sp).

That's very funny!
My cat often charges along the landing, launches himself at the bedroom door to open it, then leaps onto the bed and starts "combing" my hair with his claws! Its pretty impossible to ignore that sort of wake up call!

I hadn't seen it before and loved it. It's so true of Florence who loves to walk over my head, "comb" my hair with her claws and miaow very loudly in my ear at ungodly hours of the morning.
Typically she is now curled up on my bed fast asleep - she just doesn't like me sleeping!

I take my kitten Jess (11 weeks) in the bedroom at week ends, and go back to bed, to try and have a lie in....Well! She does exactly that, paws me to wake me up, licks my nose, goes under the duvet and crawls up and down the side of my body, meows in my ear, attacks my feet under the covers....Argh! lol
I wouldn't be without her now though, bless!

Just got in but thought I'd thank you for that link warpig - it was brilliant!

Our kitten Milly liked it too - she pawed the screen, then promptly licked her bottom - I've no idea why though!. ;o}
