Just a note about rescues... my 2 boxers are rescues , they had probs at first but they/we have overcome them and now we have 2 great loyal big fur kids :o)
First you should make a list...size of house, flat ect...garden no garden...do you like walking..... are you at home all day or have you someone to let the dog out and for walks if you are working...vet fees and food.....can you stand toilet training and picking up poo after your dog..have you got time for training and socialising your dog...do you have many holidays ..are you prepared to take the dog with you or leave in kennels ect...have you got a good money fund for emergencies ect after all these things and you still want a dog then short list and this should help some what.Good luck but please remember a dog is for life, good hunting.
when picking a dog you should try to pick one to match your personality and lifestyle, if you like to spend alot of time at home in doors border collie is not for you but if you like to walk for miles at atime a bulldog would not be any good for you as for size i am 5 foot 5 and about 12 stone and can walk 2 bullmastiffs which have a combined weight of 16-17 stone and have complete control so just think about it before rushing into getting one. As for names any thing short and simple
Well I have four dogs, and believe it or not, the two Saffordshire Bull Terriers are the best of the lot. They love being around people, and adore the children. This breed always gets bad press, but I believe it's how you bring ANY animal up as to whether they turn out nasty or not. They're called Bunty and Rose.
