don't you think this is very early for frogs spawn i went down to my pond today and it was laden with it .

That is very early bibster, we've had frogspawn in march before, but even then its vulnerable to late frosts, good job the frogs usually get amorous again in may!

It is early under normal cicumstances, bibster, but the seasons are far from normal - and have been for quite a few years.

Everything seems to be appearing a lot earlier and the mild winters mean that frogspawn can be seen even before Christmas in a few places in the south west of the country.
