Cat clawing

How can I stop my cat from clawing my new leather suite ?

buy some leather feed cream and apply it to the suite, i think it might put the cat off, also, by a scratching pole for the cat and put it by the suite where it has been scratchng then gradually relocate the pole

we taught ours not to scratch by squirting them with water everytime they went near the furniture. it takes a bit of time but they do get the message especially if you can squirt them near their ears.

I've heard that putting double sided tape on the furniture can put them off - I would try it on a piece of leather that doesnt show first!
