MY CAT HAD A KITTEN 3 WEEKS AGO, SHE HAS SINCE COME BACK IN TO SEASON AND IS BEING VERY VOCAL 24 HOURS A DAY. WE ARE NOT LETTING HER OUT AS WE DO NOT WANT HER TO GET PREGNANT AGAIN. HOW CAN I STOP THIS? ITS DRIVING ME MAD.

why are you shouting?
You don't want her to get pregnant again..? Hmmm... Why not take her to the vet and pay the relevant fee to get here neutered ? Then she can go out to play, and you'll have peace and quiet, and no kitten complications either... Simple..! :o)
She can't be spayed yet TommyC...cos she'll still be feeding the kitten. Start weaning the kitten on to a suitable kitten food now (if you are not already) and you can have the mum spayed when the kitten is about 7 weeks probably. A calling cat is awful...you poor things! I think the Vets are a bit reluctant to spay a cat that is in season (unless medically vital)...as the reproductive organs get very full of blood at this time & it is more likely to lead to complications. The Vet can do (how do I put this nicely!!) a sort of internal procedure that can take the female cat out of a cycle....and there are a few ways to chemiaclly do it...but i'm not sure if you could do that while the kitten is still feeding. Ask the Vet, that's the best thing. Good luck...get some ear plugs!
