The Royal Mail has launched a series of stamps to celebrate the roles performed by working dogs in the UK. It is 100 years since the first British police dogs were introduced.

He went to his family home at 8 weeks old but was returned at 7 months. At nine months he went to the police, and graduated from Keston with flying colours, just 14 months old.
Max has been selected to represent the police in the working dogs stamp issue being released in February 2008. He is a credit to his handler and his picture has been chosen for the 48p stamp.
