Mouse Capture Pending

Cetti I bought one of those traps and it arrived yesterday. I put a biscuite in with some peanut butter in. I was so excited about laying my eyes on its little micey face and feet I kept checking every half hour. Nothing captured as yet though. Am i likely to catch one though as its really cold and when I discovered them they moved sluggishly. Also I am thinking about where is a good safe place to release the little critters?

Lay a little trail with biscuit crumbs and make sure the trap door works, as occasionally the little rascals nip in, nick the biscuits and run off if the door is stuck. Check last thing at night as we've had two deaths from shock (mice, that is!) which wasn't nice.

A quarter of a mile if sufficient near woodland if possible.
