Can dogs get acne?

Ruby is a 7 month old cocker spaniel. She has pink spots around her mouth. Are these spots like humans get???

Hi, yes they can! I have a 10 month old Great Dane who has suffered with spots on her chin....as did my last Dane. If they look sore try putting some Sudocream on them or wiping them with antiseptic wipes. Make sure you dry her mouth after she has eaten or drunk this will help them to dry out. Also I don't know what feeding bowls you use but stainless steel one seem to cause less irritation. Hope they clear up soon!

Thanks Lisa. I will try the Sudocream - she'll probably try licking it off though! we use the stainless steel bowls.
