What the hell is a Yak? And what is a cess or cesspit?

A yak is an animal...you musta known that to put the question in this topic!! Duuuuh!! :p As for a cesspit, what the hell does that have to do with yaks?! Or is it the name you're thinking of for a pub... ...just going down the Yak & Cesspit...

Yeah I knew they were animals, but I don't know what they are. The work yak puts me in mind of a goat, but I dunno if that's what it is.
