Thanks guys. You've just told me what I already knew - just wanted to be told that I ws right i suppose.
Now I just have to persuade hubby that the cat is for keeps lol
DustyPuss, I don't have other option then to open the window, hubby is a smoker and I have asthma and we only have one openable window.
Roughquest, I had that very same thought about feeding him - I would be distraught if my cat went missing for days on end, when he does'nt come indoors in the evening, I have hubby and son trapsing around with torches and cat food looking for him! lol This cat DID have a collar and was (from what I was told) regularly wormed and de-flead, but for the past 4 months or so, he has looked like hes had neither.
