Dog thieves in the South-East (GU27) Area
9 Answers
see www.doglost.co.uk for details, but for all dog owners in that area, please PLEASE look out for the people described, and keep an extra close eye on your dogs. Thank you! I would hate to see a post on here from someone who hadn't known this was happening :(

I am pleading with everyone on here in that area to spread the word! Please don't let this happen to someone else.
The description we have is of a couple in their late 30's, both had dark hair, the man had a goatee beard. If anyone sees them please report them! If you see them in a car make a note of the registration number so if this happens again the police may be able to trace them.
Please be aware and please be careful. Daffi x

theonlyone, you are so right. The importance of microchipping and ID just can't be underestimated. Jack, our dog, permanently wears his collar, with a tag, and was chipped when we got him. I would hope this would be our saviour if he did go missing, but it is so sad to see owners that have all the required information and yet their dogs haven't been scanned.
Still a long way to go in raising awareness. Spread the word, lovely people. x

Like leela and theonlyone have said, microchipping and wearing a collar and tag are so important! Please everyone be aware of dog theft and dogs going missing in general. Please make sure and double check your gardens are safe! And your dog is tagged and chipped. I really don't want this to happen to anyone else. Daffi x
I walk my dogs in the GU8 area and there was a poster on a tree on the common that a man and woman (she has dark hair and he has a 'goatee) are working in this area, I think they have made 2 failed attempts recently, although a Dachshund went missing a couple of days ago, even dogs like mine GSD's aren't safe, though I'd like to see them try, my 'Borderline' Collie would run up and say hello to anyone if we don't watch him, we need to be so vigilant.
