Who actually does the tasting for dog and cat foods? How do they determine what it would taste like (whether it would be fish or chicken or something?

well they test it on animals 2 c if they like it or not
Most large cat and dog food manufactures employ human tasters for thier products. When you think about it it's only meat with certain things added.
Bleugh! worst job in the world! I hope they get paid danger money!
I once accidently ate cat food (long story) and I can't say that it really tasted of anything - certainly not chicken or beef or whatever it was supposed to be. It just had a really unpleasant texture. Of course cat food has come a long way in the last few years - now when I open a packet sometimes I catch myself thinking, 'Mmmm.... looks delish'!
I'll do it! (I quite like the biscuits!!!!)
