I have a picture of Desert Orchid and Red Rum meeting face to face over my mantelpiece (the picture, not the meeting!). Been to a dog show today at an equestrian centre, and there was someone practising dressage in an outdoor arena, well this horse was the biggest b*gger I have seen in a long time, and I am used to racehorses. He was so graceful with it though, lovely paces and his head tucked neatly into his neck. As you say, beautiful.

Aw, how sweet.
IMO horses are so beautiful because they're so honest. If a horse doesn't like you he'll kick you, and I find that such a great quality. I wish people were as honest.
My horse is stunning, he's a pure thoroughbred and he's chestnut but when the sun shines on him he goes pinky gold. We won yesterday in our event too so I'm feeling particularly enamoured today with him.
