I have a nesting blackbird in my garden
Will the male feed the female while she is sitting on her eggs and if so what food shall i put out in the forcast bad weather

the female will leave the nest to feed at regular intervals. Blackbirds prefer insects, worms, fruit etc so chopped up apples and mealworms should do the job. Casters (pupae of bluebottles) may be easier to get - from your local angling shop.
PS- roosting is what birds do overnight on a perch! Sitting on the nest is generally known as incubating or brooding.

If possible, Dave, please make sure there is fresh water to drink and especially bathe.
Sitting on eggs for a prolonged period will make her dusty and itchy, so being able to splash about in cool water will be utter heaven!

yep allways water down both dogs bowl and 2 small ponds all the birds use them all
