My 2 year old neutered cat has had his 3rd eyelid over for the last day & a half. But he is eating, drinking, & doing cat things - his ears are cool, his nose is wet. He is in all other ways absolutely fine. What could it be?
It's both his eyes, both have the 3rd eyelid lowered. He's on my knee right now, purring & being contrite as I told him off for sharpening his claws on the couch. Not that he stopped doing it - he gave me his "Nah!" look.
He just sneezed, so it's off to the vet with him tomorrow, first thing. it could be the beginning of the cat flu.
Although he has been vaccinated for that, I'm not taking any chances! He is far too precious.
could also be worms as the fat pad at the back of the eye can shrink causing the eyelid to come over. cost me a fortune with different creams and drops before we found that out back in my youth when we had our first cat
