Help!! We have laminated floors and our most recent addition (Jake: springer spaniel) has had a few mishaps and the smell is driving me nuts... I've bleached, scrubbed, sprayed and the smell just comes back. We actually put him up for sale but burst out crying when the phone rang (so that didn't work) - hmmm... Does anyone have any good ideas or recipes for removing doggy smells? Thanks mandy x

An indispensible product to me is a spray called 'Odourfree'. This is available from Vets at about 11.00. However, I have found it in pet supply outlets called Stain and Odor Remover (Simple Solution) It is exactly the same and costs 5.00. The only difference is it is not in a spray container, but you can soon decant it yourself. It works, not to mask the smell but by bacteria and enzyme technology. Having five pets and considerable little accidents, I would highly recommend it. PS Don't get rid of your new babe. It won't be long before he stops these mishaps and he will give you far more love, affection and good times than your laminated floors!
I used to have a Springer Spaniel called Jake... Try Febreeze. (Spelling).
could it have gotten under the laminate floors, e.g at the edges - if so thats just going to stay stinking, especially if you have an underlay which it could have soaked into- taking up the laminate and cleaning up might be the only solution
Laminated flooring is a bad idea if you have pets. its made of fibres that are spongelike, and any fluid spilt will stain slightly and the smell will never vanish compleatly. Plus the noise factor.
