make up and cats

why does my cat keep playing with my makeup? she'll ignore toys that we buy her and if we leave the bathroom open she'll jump up on the counter and play with it. i know how to stop her from playing with it but why does she do it?

It's probably to do with the size, weight and noise made when she plays with it. Our cat will only play with a ping-pong ball; she is not interested in anything else.

Our cat was the same, she used to like rolling things around the bedroom, like my mascara for one! I was forever finding things under the bed! Yes, things I'd been searching high & low for. Little rascal!

Cats are funny aren't they? You can give them all the toys in the world, but they still find their own favourite playthings. One of our little cats adores pens and even gets them out of pockets. Another likes emery boards and the third's hobby is emptying waste paper bins by tipping them on their sides and distributing the contents round the room! (she also likes tipping over vases of water and watching the water pour out.) I suppose it's all their little differences that makes them so adorable.

I have a big basket of potporie and my cat will just sit on a chair and go through it and knock everything out of it and play with the little pine cones, my other cat does the water thing too. You can't leave a glass of water on the floor, he will knock it over and then run. I have many toys for them, but they are more interested in hair ties and they LOVE the crickets that come into the house sometimes!!
