If a glacier was melted in laboratory conditions, would it be near enough the same as sea water or is it fresh???? (or a combo of the both???)

Glaciers are made up of compacted snow so the water will be fresh - well, actually it could be thousands of years old but fresh as in 'not salty'
if you melted a glacier would it not flood the laboratory?
