Get a small spray bottle of white distilled vinegar and `zap em` They don`t like it up em you know. It`ll kill most creepy`s. Also a very good deterrent to spray in any attackers eyes lady`s
Talcum powder... simple ! They hate dry areas and will actually dessicate in a dry situation, so just sprinkle some talc down where they are getting in... They are not harmful btw... they live on rotting damp vegetation so unless you have damp wet timber floorboards, they won't do any harm to your house.
Any garden insecticide will kill woodlice.
Give all the entry points to your house a good spray and that should at least discourage them.
If they are still appearing, go round your skirting boards with the spray.
Unfortunately, they just keep on coming, so you'll have to repeat the treatment fairly regularly.
Best of luck.
Thanks for your replies.
Will try the talc before I buy anything else.
The thought of eating them is DISGUSTING!!!!
How can anyone think up recipes for them!!!!
Awwww... poor wee woodies, there they are, doing nobody any harm, just trundling around, eating all the manky dead damp woody stuff and suddenly some humanoid dumps a humungous amount of talcum powder on them... poor wee *oh dear, ex woodlice* ....... I find them quite attractive though... but not in a foodie sense... (being veggie lol)
I am now a bit ashamed to have posted the info re the talc .... and am feeling sorry for the woodies.... (known as *bakers* in the midlands btw)
those recipes seem very yummy, it may seem strange thinking of the original question but does any one know how to cultivate the lice as we don't have them around here. I could substitute large ants which are plentiful but it would take an age to catch even a couple of tablespoonsful!!
