as i said before Squiffy the cat is named after a broom at brunel uni

Weed the cat because she did

Piglet the cat because she looks like she has no chin just like the pooh character

My step cats rolo and galaxy are chocolate coloured and toffee coloured
I have 5 cats, 4 of whom have sensible names. The other one ( a tortoiseshell, mother of 8 kittens, 2 of whom still live with us - with sensible names!-) is called "Gavin".
my adopted moggie is called zebbi, cos striped, but for silly kissy names its the lamb,or my babee,or mummys girl!!!!
My previous dog was called Boo (hence my username) after the old Los Lobos song- Me And You and a Dog Named Boo.

My current dog is called Missy as we couldn't think of a suitable name for days for her and spent that time going "get down Missy" and "gerroff that, Missy" and it kinda stuck.

Hamster is called chocolate, despite being silver in colour, Mini Boo called her that (she's 3)

Stopped naming my tropical fish as its too upsetting when they go to the big fishtank in the sky if you personalise them. Though we do have Goldie ( imaginative huh?) the goldfish in a seperate tank and my cat fish is called Weasel (Cat Weasel- geddit?)

Oh and Mr Boo answers to most things.
cupar came from an animal rescue place in ................you've guessed it cupar in fife. and margo was named after the bird in stuart little tho slighly shortened.
hi, everyone - nice to be chattin'. my two kitties are called sneakers (cause she has white feet) and smudge (because she is a white/black/calico/tabby mixture all stuck together). my hubby wanted to call the youngest mephistophelean (to embarrass me when i call them in from the garden!), but i nipped that one right in the bud. my parents creatures (same species) are tyson (a ginger and white wimp), lucifer (the blackest, meanest mother funky of a cat you ever did meet) and einstein (stoopid! but sweet). most of my pets are runts - i can't resist leaving them as i think no one else will want them!

dusty - have always wanted a tortoise, though. am v. jealous!
My dog is Ruby as she is a Irish (red) setter - not very imaginative

However my Gran who was far more inventive had

Breakfast in Bed- 2 guinea pigs
Feeman Hardy and Willis- 3 goats
Madam Mademoiselle and Mesire - Geese

my dog is called turps. Named after my favorite drink. Aww bless
Pandora (box (er) of holocausts
Jester Marillion fan
I named one of my cats Cloughie after the legendary football manager, partly because he died around the time we got him but mainly because the cat was red in the face, demanding and would clout you one if if he thought you weren't toeing the line as he saw it. He was a little furry dude.... Alas the ex got custody of him :-(
Oh and baby sister had a budgie called Vinny after the footballer and that was actually one fiesty little feather brain.
my neighbour has a cat called korky , i ask him how he named him that and he said from a comic , he used to read .
My two are Florence (from the Magic Roundabout) and Daisy because she was a little flower! She's not so little now. I did have Ermintrude and Dylan from the M Roundabout too but sadly they are now dead. The guinea pig is Steve just because it suits him.
Although I don't know why my Auntie called her cat Mary Ellen, she was tremendously fat and it got changed around to Hairy Melon! She was black with white socks, a white tip to her tail and bikini markings on her tummy.
My Mum's cat was called Foss because she lived in Guernsey, and he came from the Rue de la Fosse. Edward Lear, author of Nonsense Rhymes and the Owl and the Puusycat had a cat called Foss.
We had a sweet little rescue cat with one eye, he was grey and white and we called him Thomas after Tom and Jerry.
A friend of mine had a dog called "laughing gravy" i asked where he got this name from and he said it wasit was from a Laurel and Hardy film who had a dog that was called the above name!!!!1
Our dog is called Murphy. I had 2 names in mind when I was naming him, Marley or Alfie, but couldn't choose between them. I was saying them out loud over again to decide and kept getting them muddled, in the end it sounded like I was saying Murphy and it stuck. When we picked him up he was chocolate brown with a white bit and it seemed then that the name really suited him! x
My first GSD was Che, he was going to be Bob (good old imaginative name) but when we were going to pick him up David Essex was on the radio dicussing his role as Che Guevera in the new (then) musical Evita.I let my niece pick the name for my new GSD and her favorite film is Gladiator hence Maximus or Max for short to everybody but my niece
