Single black squit, solid, size of thumb, white inside.

On my front path, not near any roof or perch nor under a tree.

The white inside leads me to suspect that you have been the lucky recipient of one incubating bird's relief. When birds sit on their eggs they are able to save it up and when they are relieved by the **** bird or go for a feed they can void a dropping well over 10 times the normal size.

Would they drop that in flight, or sit on the path, perhaps? It would be impossible for it be where it is otherwise.
The mother bird removes it from the nest. I suppose she could drop it anywhere!!

Ah - of course. Thanks for that
Not sure about the white inside but from the size I would consider a fox.
