small trees

i recently visited valkenburg netherlands and noticed beautiful small trees in people's gardens these trees are about 6/8ft high with big leaves making the tree look round. can anyone give me an idea what they are called

lol 68feet high...what's your idea of a big tree?...need more info...leaf shape size colour, bark colour pattern, any flowers or fruit?

I didn't put 68ft I put 6 to 8ft looked at the site you gave me to no avail the trees I am trying to find would probably be called drwarf trees
