how do i stop my puppy whining

how do i get my puppies to sleep through the night they are 11 weeks old and lab x they seem to wake up at stupid times to go for a wee etc, they keep whining at night and when i leave them have tried the radio bit

Where do they sleep? My pup liked to sleep on the floor next to Mr Thugulikes side of the bed. When he got too big for that space I tried to move his bed to the other side of the bedroom. George kept waking me through the night for a cuddle. He didn't need to go out he just wanted me to pet him. As soon as I moved his bed to to be by my side he slept right through. It may be that they need some rassurance that you are nearby.

my late father in law used to tell me that he used to take his old underpants and put them in their basket or bed and with that they settled down he reckoned it was the smell of a human that did it i doubt that very much

try a hot water bottle wrapped in an old blanket......or even a clock wrapped in a towel (they think its their mothers heartbeat).....i have tried both and they work !

if you don't want the pup in the room with you of a night try wearing and old jumper in the day to get ur scent on it or anyhting like that and line the puppy's sleeping area with it so it feels like u are close
