what was the point of getting rid
of the rat there's dozens more in
your area as in all areas that will
take it place all you've done to one
animal YOU don't like is slowly
poison it, as you said you saw it
dying but did not have the guts to
club it to death and end its misery ,
no you let a magpie peck out it
eyes while still alive and defenceless
well done you hope you sleep ok !

once that rat dies, they'll soon be another to take its place.
I can't believe anyone would kill another living creature for having the cheek to come in to their garden and not be the cutest fluffiest little critter like a rabbit or something.
sleep well Cider, hope no-one makes the same mistake with you.

You should have got your local council's enviromental dept to deal with it.
We had one that kept coming into the kitchen through a broken air brick and the council's rat man put poison bags down, which they take back to their home and the whole family feast on it and die.
You should dispose of it carefully, if a fox gets it, it will probably die too.
