Hiya, girls. How nice of you both to ask! Mischa is absolutely fine (to the point of being a right pain in the ****!)
She keeps trying to type on the computer, wakes up about 3 times a night, just like a baby, and consequently wakes me up! She bounces all over the bed, chews my hair and ears and licks my nose!! She's a real delight...even though she's a pest! She's on my lap at the moment and is making it very difficult to complete this reply. She gets on OK with Cassie & Cleo, but Romy & Gavin hate her - but then they hate each other and everyone else, too, so it's no surprise. K xxx

Our cats have all adopted us when adults, hence the reason for the next daft question.
Has Mischa started to purr, what age does this start?

really glad she is doing so well cant replace monty i know but bet she helps fill a little bit of the gap cuddle and stroke to all Ruthxxx

Rosetta, they purr from a very young age. When Monty & Cleo were born (here), they used to purr when they were suckling their mum (Gavin - don't ask - K. Jnr's idea!!). Mischa is now about 10 weeks old & purrs like a little train!! She's even louder than Cleo (who has a purr to beat all purrs!).
The other thing I've noticed is that although Mischa is a totally black cat, where she had her fur shaved for her amputation, it's growing back grey and she's developing silver "tabby" markings on her head. It's a shame she only has 3 legs and two inches of tail - she's going to be a beautiful cat when she grows up (and she's got the most amazing green eyes). K xx

She sounds delightful. Years ago we had a dear cat called Mishka who was also black. Unfortunately he went blind and was taken by a fox during a very cold and snowy winter.

Mishka is the Russian word for Little Bear and is what they call their Teddies!

I know, I promised a picture ages ago! Wolf has said that if I send one to her, she'll post it for me, as I'm useless at stuff like that. I'll do it over the weekend - promise!! (Won't get much else done as the weather forecast for Wales is rain, rain and more rain!!) K
