Try the classified ads in "Countryman's Weekly" it isn't available everywhere these days but you could find your nearest stockist by giving them a call on 01822 855281.
You could aslo try one of the lurcher / greyhound rescue centres. www.lurcher.org.uk is one place where they list dogs up for adoption. So is tiagreyhounds.org.uk or www.greyhoundandlurcherrescue.co.uk
Just type lurcher rescue into google and you can't go wrong.

I don't know either - easier up north than down south I think. But keep trying - we have one, just a year old, and she is one of the nicest, most enjoyable dogs we have ever had! She does have a tendency to rush into things without thought and has already cost a fortune at the vets (stitches in legs and tummy from not seeing barbed wire)but we think she is the best thing since sliced bread.
