Frank Died...

Thank you to everyone who gave me advise on Frank my poor deformed cockerel, unfortunately he died yesterday whilst we were at work ( I'm hoping peacefully) I feel really silly to be so upset about a chicken dying but he was really part of our family and i'll miss picking him up and fussing him when I get home from work. I only hope that although he had a very short life, that it was a happy one, roaming the garden and eating fresh corn. So here's to Frank. R.I.P little fella!

Condolences for your loss of Frank.

It's unwise to pick up chickens as they carry fleas but more important, they peck at eyes. My friend had a very nasty scar on her eyelid as a result of too close contact with a chicken.

He wasn't just a chicken but a person who just happened to be a chicken.

My two cats have more personality and intelligence than some people.

So very sorry about your loss. I'm having a bad time with my lurcher Rocky as you've probably seen on an earlier post.
I just wanted to say that it doesn't matter what type of animal, how big or small it is, we still grow attatched.
It's lovely that he had a happy life with you even though it was a short one. I'm sure he loved you very much and was grateful.

Thank you!! It's good to know I'm not the only one who feels this way about my animals. Life just wouldn't be the same without them!
