BOO, she had her neck shaved because that was where she had her leg amputated (she only has 2 inches of tail left, too) after some cruel ba**ard picked her up by her front right leg and her tail and swung her around so much that her tail was stripped and her leg almost pulled off. All the muscles and nerves were torn away and the bones completely ripped out of their sockets - that's why she had to have the leg taken off, there was no chance of it healing and it was just hanging there.

Yes, alfieblue, I can't fathom how anyone could be so cruel, especially to something so young and helpless. She must have been terrified and in so much pain - it doesn't bear thinking about. Still, like you said, she's got me now (total softie!) and she's gradually settling in with the others. Cleo's become her best buddy and they chase each other all over the cottage and play for ages. Most nights, she sleeps on my bed, snuggled up to me just like Monty used to - I sometimes wonder who's more in need of the comfort from the other one, her or me!!
She has a little toy sheep as well (it's got catnip in it) which she adores. The chap in the shop gave it to me for free as he couldn't find the price! I think he felt sorry for her when I told him she only had 3 legs & had been cruelly treated. I did buy other stuff in the shop as well, though, so his kindness wasn't in vain. Aren't some people nice?
She is so cute! I would love to get hold of the sicko who hurt her and do the same to them though. I have been looking after 2 kittens this last week and they are so beautiful I just cannot comprehend the cruelty of some people. She obviously has a lovely home now though and I bet she's thoroughly spoiled (and so she should be!)
Thanks everyone - she is a little sweetie (when she's not biting my hand or chewing my leg!!). I was speaking to some friends I have in France yesterday and they told me that someone had dumped 2 little day-old kittens on their doorstep. They're doing their best for the poor little things, but Heaven knows if they'll survive. Again, how can people be so heartless?
Mischa you are an absolute cutie and cupar would like to know if you would like to accompany him out on a date to a little place he knows where they serve a mean mouse a la raspberry, he will be the perfect gentleman and will make sure you are home by 10pm or later if your mum allows it, (dont worry mum hes neutered)...seriously Kleiber you are a star, as ruthann says shes got someone special to look after her, and i too would like 5mins alone in a room with the scum that hurt her, give her a big loving hug from me.
