An enormous spider (as big as a mouse) is prowling under my furniture.....how can I tempt it out before it climbs onto my lap-top?

Just leave it.

Spiders make their way around your house all the time, rarely seen, and usually not rouble. I bet if you leave it until tomorrow, your guest will have gone, and you won;t see him again.

NB - you should not put house spiders outside in your garden. They are not the same species as garden spiders - they are used to warmth, and living with very little water, and they will not live long outside, so it's not being kind to pop them out of the door.

There's no way I am sharing my home with this gigantic anachrode......he's out again tonite and will be swatted the minute I get a chance.

His mate ran up my armchair while I was on the laptop; I jumped up, laptop flew across room/crashed into tv.....cost me a fortune to replace!
