jack russel hair everywhere

Hi Hoopedone,

Obviously groom him regularly, and if you can, get one of those metal paddle brushes, preferably the rectangular one with the angled "bristles".

Perhaps also you could gradually introduce him/her to the hoover, and put the brush on the nozzle. If you do this calmly with a very calm and soothing voice he/she might also let you brush with the brush attachment. My dog used to love it. But it's important to not frighten him/her.

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY Cmitchell . do groom regularly , the hoover is a non starter , as he goes mental even if you touch the hoover never mind switching it on !!

Give him a bath as that will loosen all the dead coat. He would benefit from having a some oils in his coat, there are speciailised coat feeds based on Omega Oils, but you could try evening primose or royal jelly capsules from the health food shop in with his food on a daily basis.
