Probably depends on whether they're trainees or qualified and the amount of experience they've had. Also it may vary according to the locality of the practice. I'm just guessing but it seems the most logical answer!!!

It will also depend on the type of practice. Country practice vets dealing with large animals generally earn a lot less (and work a lot harder) than inner-city small animal vets treating pets.
