Is there a sure fire way to get rid of and keep earwigs out ? In Alaska?

I have exactly the same problem! I've found that my dog's pretty fond of them, and that gets rid of them whenever there's a major invasion, but there's some chemicals that really help (I use one called Bug-de-rug, which kills them instantly) and if you put tape around doors to the outside that you hardly ever use, it stops them from getting in. Hope this helps!
