if i take my tropical fish and the heater out of my tank can i put goldfish in without changing the water? thankyou

I don't think so. Goldfish have the water a lot colder. You may have dead goldfish by the end of the day.

Yes...no problems infact goldfish wont mind if you leave the heater in....ive kept them very happily at 25c for a long while. same water, same filter, same filter bacteria etc.

I would take out at least three-quarters of the water, and fill up with fresh cold water, and it should be OK. Where are you going to put the tropical fish?
