Does my cat have a complete brainstorm everytime she does a poo in the cat litter.

She leaps out the litter box, tears round the house, skids on the rugs, jumps all over the furniture, etc. for about 2/3 minutes.

Strange behaviour, or normal?

In my experience this is fairly normal and something many cats do.

Do you know why Lottie? Nice name BTW!
My little Princess seems to have poos at bedtime. She then has to rush through to speak to me - sticking her bum in my face as a gesture of good will.

Frankie spends ages cleaning his paws after going to the litter tray.

Strange animals - but I love them.

She will not poo outside either. Always comes rushing in from outside to poo before rushing out again (in the summer that is) At the moment she's not interested in going out!!!
My little Mischa is (so far) an indoor cat (she's disabled and I'm a bit loathe to let her out in case she gets hurt) and she goes absolutely nuts after using the tray! The others tend to "go" outside, but sometimes Cleo uses the indoor loo too, and then goes for a tear around afterwards!! The pleasures of having cats deign to live with us, eh?? K xx

Wonderful creatures aren't they.

(We had a little black cat called Mishka years ago - Mishka is Russian for Teddy Bear! I know a little girl called Mischa)

We lost our little disabled cat this year. She had brittle bones and a disfigured mouth caused by burns. She eventually developed oral cancer. :o(
well I don't know much about cats Lottie, but that sounds a bit like one of my neighbours when's she's been to the loo. She doesn't go very often apparently, so it's cause for celebration when she does..... lol

So does she go running round the house, skidding on the carpets Robinia. He, he I can just imagine it - with her drawers round her ankles !
Question Author
So its probably a sort of cat celebration then - sort of 'Whoopee - I've done it, yeahh'
not exactly Lottie, she cranks up the speed up on her stannah & does a few whizzes up & down the stairs :o)
