I recently took my AKC registered puppy to the vet for her second shots and my vet told me that my yorkie didn't look like a purebread! I am devastated.  I love my little baby, but how can I really find out the truth?

Contact the Kennel Club who should investigate after first giving the breeder a chance to answer the allegation (which may be wrong) .http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/

Please remember your dog isn't less lovable either way, if it's not a pedigree you are financially out of pocket but not losing out on the love you'll get

Fully agree with Drewhound but would like to add if your dog is not a true pedigree, it has a very good chance that it could well be all the healthier for it.

You could get your dog's dna tested, but I think it is kinda expensive. Contact akc or ckc.  continential kennel club.       american kennel club, maybe they can help you.
