Did anyone watch the Orangutan Diaries last night?
I don't usually cope very well with nature programmes as hate to see animals suffer and /or die. So i was unsure whether to watch this or not - talk about ripping your heart strings out. These poor orphaned little Orangutans make me wanna cry. They are such loveable little things, and seeing them scampering about at this rescue centre made me chuckle.........totting about in their nappies...attending forest school where they learn how to swing in trees and forage for food, It was fantastic. They all slept in wash baskets at night with blankets.
Its a fantastic place for them and i only wish i had enough money to donate loads to them.
Looks like Mother is getting one adopted on her behalf for mothers day.
Hi, I took my daughter to Borneo last year and we visited Sepilok....it was amazing to see the work that people do for theses beautiful creatures.
We are the proud adoptive parents of Sen and Sogo Sogo.....
They are absolutely gorgeous babies but not so gorgeous when they grow up.
I can't watch sad animal programmes - I once watched a programme about lions. Happy little family with cute babies, then another male lion came along and after a fight for dominance he chased off the cubs' father and took over. The first thing that he did was kill all the cubs. I put the TV off at that point.
I got so upset when the little orangutan fell out the tree and landed on the concrete. At the end of the programme they said that its gonna take a turn for the worse in next weeks prog. I don't think I can bear to watch.
