frogspawn? I noticed yesterday that I had some in our pond, but have just been out in the garden and there is tons of the stuff, it is very high in the water, so I expect a lot will get killed off by the frosts that we are due to have, isn't it a tad too early for this?

We've had quite a severe frost up here, but most of the spawn is under water and one of my ponds is quite deep, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!! The taddies in the garden pond usually get eaten by the newts, though.... (although some survive), but those in the duck pond (no ducks!!) stand a better chance!! K
