chicxulub crater

how big is the crater ebcause the google images aren't very good. i tried looking at it on google earth and i'm not sure if i can see it because i'm not sure of its size. if you look at that part of mexico from eye alt of about 10 000 to 11 000. i can kinda see a vague circley crater shape, the northern most bit being made up of the island of isla blanca and surrounding islands (i saw this whe i zoomed in). but is this chicxulub or is chicxulub bigger?

There's a map here.. You won't see any evidence of the crater on Google Earth because the ground has become levelled over time. Sensitive satellite radar shows a trough forming the ring of the crater, but it's a very slight depression. It wasn't discovered by someone seeing it on the surface, but from magnetic anomalies observed during airborne survey work. Read about it here
