French bulldog skin problems

Does anyone own a french bulldog who suffers with skin problems?
I got a frenchie from a rescue home and i knew when i adopted him he had problems with his skin. However, at the time of taking him he was on steriods so it didnt look that bad. Once the steriods finished, his skin flared up and it is a fulltime job trying to keep his scratching under control.
Just wanted to know if anyone else has had the same problems and if they knew of any handy tips for keeping the dog comfortable without having to use steriods. He has just been allergy tested and is going to have therapy for that as he is allergic to clover, cat skin and dust mites!

I had a rescued Neapolitan Mastiff who had dreadful skin problems. After using all the expensive lotions and antibiotics the vet suggested feeding him sardines. And it worked. We only did it for a short while and the problem went away never to return.

I havnt tried it for skin problems, but have heard some good reports on giving dogs liquidised raw spinach, especially good for itchy skin, with their daily diet, think you would need about a desertspoon full. Worth a try as it cant do any harm.

My vet recommended a desert-spoon of sunflower oil, each day in my dog's main meal. The dog was a black coated crossbred, with what seemed to be a type of eczema. This routine cleared the problem in about 3 weeks, but he had the sunflower oil in his food for the rest of his life, with no further problem.

i would like to know more also as my frenchie has all his hair underneath and has to be bathed 3 times a week ive had enough i hate breeders
