Moths
3 Answers
Whilst walking with my dog the last few days I have noticed a 'swarm/cloud' of small moths. They are always in roughly the same place. They are very small and it is impossible to see any detail while they are flying. When one lands, usually on a stinging nettle, it appears to have a gold stripe across the lower part of each wing and two very fine antennae. Does any one have any idea what this could be, please?

I have only seen these moths in the morning. There is a river on the other side of the field but not very near. Last nignt on Springwatch there was an item about insects which feed on stinging nettles and one of these moths was on the nettles but we were not told the name of it. I am going to look at the BBC site now and see if I can get asny answers there. Thanks for your answere.
