If you look back at suggested cat names, you will find that we had a beautiful Russian Blue female cat for 13 years - her name was Smudge! (When we first got her, she was a tiny little grey/blue smudge, hence the name).
Question Author

Aw, loving the name smudge! But cousin is considering either Mishka (as suggested by Fakeplastic) or Tolli (after Tolstoy). Any thoughts?

I love Mishka.
Pushkin.
Boris!
Boris too - very original!
Question Author
Original indeed! Who wants to bet some one will say Dimitri at some point!?
Misha... That is what i'd call mine if I had one.
Mishka was the name given to our first black cat.  He was the most lovable and gentle cat we have ever had.  My husband, who is Russian, named him because he was as cuddly as a little teddy bear!  I have always loved the name.

Oh the irony of supporting Chelsea FC and owning a Russian cat!

Tom

mishka's cute
I always liked the name Zhenya. Then again that is about as un-cute as Vladimir. What about Vova? Danu? Vanusha? Rasputin might be cool, it's a known name, and has a great story - if anyone asks you can tell them about Gregori Rasputin.

BLUEY

Bluey could be alright, except in russian blue is a word for homo, fag, "Oh, he's definitely blue"
Question Author

Well, can cats be gay? I don't think so. So perhaps Bluey is out of the question.
