My daughter found an otherwise healthy fluffy baby bird (kestrel?) . If you send me your email address I can email a picture from my email address via her iphone! Found under some poplar trees at the edge of the road. Has probably been there a whil, having fallen out of a nest. Completely fly-blown, and covered in fly-eggs. No wing feathers (a few feathers sprouting around its neck). I told her to bring it home (because it has obviously been there for a while) and we will remove the fly eggs, treat it with dilute Vetrazin (for fly-strike on sheep) and then feed it mince. How do we feed it water? Then what?

Use a small dropper to give it drinks of water.

If it takes the mince it doesn't actually need water. By all means, contact madmaggot's link for advice. They will probably be able to tell you the nearest rescue centre who will raise it. For proper nutrition it needs more than mince, like baby mice etc.

Many thanks to both of you. We have managed to find somewhere that can look after it properly!
