I am hoping to take on three of these girls soon but I am a complete beginner. I have checked out many care and advice sites but does anyone have details of their experiences? Thank you
My neighbour rescued some battery chickens and they did fine until one night she forgot to fasten them in and the fox got all but one of them. So make sure you don't do the same :)
Thanks for the warning Yvonne. Zac, I am not being charged at all but as a local rescue centre is collecting them and checking them I will happily give a donation - probably 10 each i thought.
hi annie i rescued some in feb they were a real sorry state had to be kept in as they were half bald, didnt know how to perch ,fly , eat proper food or drink from a bowl in fact nothing like chickens at all but i dont regret it at all they are now lovely healthy free range hens [http://i39.tinypic.com/2i1ecyt.jpg[/IMG]
3? wow that must be a familly bargain bucket right? Well my advice is to have plenty of tissues at hand as it can be quite greecy and plenty of fizzy drinks as can be salty also. All in all just go with the flow the KFC where I live has great friendly staff.
