OK so my pal who is renting my house has messaged me saying there is a wasps nest on my garage. The garage is not attached to my house and is inbetween my 2 neighbours houses (hard to imagine I know). So I am wondering am I legally obliged to do anything about this? The neighbors has some little kids and they obviously want it removing. What is the situation and any laws please?

yes. as a landlord you have a duty of pest control and if something were to happen - i.e. people getting stung en masse or worse - you could be in a whole heap of trouble. get rid of it! wasps are nasty beasts x
Tell them to try pouring GRAVY on to it.
As its on your garage, Gravy, it is down to you to get rid of it. It doesnt really matter that the garage is between neighbours houses. If you are still in Hong Kong could your tennant get quotes for its removal and you could pay the company yourself via credit ard
charge them increased rent for extra tenants. Act of God - so you're not responsible.

hmmm ok I will get quotes to rid my garage from these evil things. Begone strange buzzy flyey stingy hounds of hell.

thanks for all the advice. But the act of god sounds good.
God works in wonderous ways ;)

Pour litre bottle of white spirit over nest at night. Or at night, place bin bag over & scoop nest in - tie up bag & release elsewhere.
