west highland terriers

where can i buy a west highland terrier puppy? we live in hertfordshire, north london and are looking to give a westie puppy a family home.

please can u recommend any breeders or places to buy one from? thanks

Only buy from a reputable breeder. Contact the Kennel club www.kennelclub.co.uk or a Westie club wwww.thewesthighlandwhiteterrierclubofengland.co.uk

There is also a rescue organisation at www.westierescuescheme.org.uk where they occasionally have puppies or young dogs to rehome. Westies are inbred a lot, ask to see their parents and if possible a history of diseases. They suffer with skin problems. Either than that they are lovely dogs, my Max is 10yrs old and he's fantastic, he loves everybody.
