The breed is called a Dachshund - known populalry as a 'sasusage dog' for obvious reasons. the breed is German, and was originally used to hunt badgers ('dach' is German for 'badger') because its size and shape made it ideal for getting into badger sets.

Doberman and Great Dane are two distinct breeds. The Doberman is the smaller of the two, and is used as a watch dog or guard dog. Its locking jaws and strong physique make it a fearsome animal, and it can be trained to attack on command.  The Great Dane is a much larger dog, and generally more docile, although it is not advised to provoke a specimen, as their usually placid nature is superceeded by a strong desire to defend territory, and pack members, including the dog's owner, from attack.

A Doberman  is big but the Great Dane is BIGGER.   Doberman is a lovely dog, I've got a first cross and a more obedient loving dog does not exist on this earth. The other of course as stated above is a Dachshund
Doberman is usually black on top with reddish brown underneath.

Great Danes are often fawn colored all over, but come in many other colors, even spots and stripes.

I think they both traditionally have their ears cropped to stand up straight, and their tails docked.
